It’s a little late but oh well. October 4th marked Jason and I’s 5th wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary, J!

 Danielle and Ray were married at Stevenson Ridge in Fredericksburg, VA. It was a little hot but they had already planned for an indoor ceremony. The inside of the Lodge where the ceremony

was held is a 19th century chapel complete with 25ft cathedral ceilings and exposed beams.

Nice to see this since I always have to make up my own hash tag and then broadcast it to the bridal party.  Just do me a favor and keep those cameras down during the ceremony.  I’d rather see peoples faces.

Meet my sister, Carina and her family. They live in Perth, Australia.

My sister, Carina, lives in Perth, Australia. I would move there if I wasn’t such a chicken to leave my friends and family. It is a beautiful place live. J and I say we’d move there a lot. But the truth is we have some family who would be very upset if we moved their only Grandchild to the other side of the World!

Anyway, my sister was visiting the states for some time in July and asked that I take a few pictures. This was the FIRST time I have taken pictures of them.

You see the first picture above? Yes, that started it all. Then, this happened.

And this. RJ true personality.

I was a little nervous…okay, fine. A LOT nervous because well you see Luke is quite the artist with his camera. He has held his OWN exhibitions and won numerous awards for his photography.

Good thing he likes the artsy stuff. Sun flare coming at ya.

My favorite. The Grandpa monster was doing disgusting things above my head and poor RJ was hiding.

It was hot and sticky.  But we had to get a couple of just Carina and Luke. Who knows what evil thing Carina did to evoke this laugh from Luke but it’s awesome.

As soon as I saw this photo while editing, I instantly thought about the one below from about 15 years ago. They look the same. Mind the weird scanned color.

Stephanie and Christopher were married at 868 Estate Vineyards on a beautiful July day. I’m talking low humidity, a little breeze and about 75 degrees. It was perfect. A small gathering or “elopement” if you will of just them and their parents’.

Stephanie’s dream was to be barefoot in a field for her wedding. Mission accomplished.

As I left them to celebrate, the light was just amazing.

Erin and I go back to elementary school. I love love love photographing grade school friends’ weddings. It’s the best. Seriously, I really do love it. We share stories from our grade school days and pick up where we left off as kids. And it’s so amazing and a honor to share in their glorious day. It makes my heart happy to seem them happy after all these years.

Erin and Joe attended the same high school. And if you ask Erin they never met but according to Joe they did. Erin really left an impression on Joe. Years went by and their paths crossed again.

Ladies, wear a veil. You only wear it on your wedding day, so why not?!

I always envision in my mind they type of dress the bride will wear. Yep, exactly what I envisioned. Classic, lace
